Education
High School
Four years within the Towson Magnet Program taught me critical thinking skills and public speaking skills that allow for me to articulate my thoughts and communicate clearly with others in a leadership position.

College/University
Majoring in Family and Human Services with a track in Non-Profit Leadership. This includes a minor in Business Administration. Thus far in my collegiate career, the mentoring I have received from my professors in the Family and Human Services Department has been invaluable. Lessons such as time management, personal care, and networking opportunities have helped me to continue to grow as a young professional.

Personal Role Models
Vince Lombardi
Known as one of the greatest motivators in sports history, Vince Lombardi is the author of my favorite quote. "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." This quote has helped me to develop a "compass" and stay the course as I work toward my life goals.
Kermit the Frog
Now, this may appear to be a silly answer, but Kermit the Frog has been a hero of mine since childhood. No other character has the optimism that Kermit does and Kermit is able to see the best in everyone. Kermit's leadership skills and desire to help others have helped me to set up a "map" for the compass Lombardi helped create.
F. Scott Fitzgerald
A master of reflection and self awareness, Fitzgerald's characters and elegant prose have been a source of entertainment and inspiration for me since early high school. "This Side of Paradise" and "The Great Gatsby" still rank as two of my favorite books.
Teddy Roosevelt
If any one figure in American history could represent the American spirit, for me, it would be Teddy. Who else could be shot in the middle of a speech and stay on stage until he finished his presentation? "Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing."
ExtraCurriculars
Volunteer Work
Years of extracurricular activities have exposed me to many different populations, and helped me learn how to work in an environment with these diverse needs.
Pathways Tutor
Working at Pathways Tutoring allowed me to work with elementary and middle school children from the poorer parts of Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Many of these students have learning disabilities.
Invisible Children
Working with Invisible Children allowed me the opportunity to learn valuable advocacy skills, as well as participate in a social movement.
Greater Baltimore Medical Center
As a volunteer at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, I was able to work with hospitalized patients ranging in age from 25- 65 yrs old. Working with this population exposed me to not only physical disabilities, but also work with mental illness as well.
National Council on Family Relations
I have become a student member of NCFR and have participated as a member of their "Local Arrangements Committee" to assist in setting up the annual conference being held in Baltimore for the fall of 2014.
